DataCore MCP Server
Connect DataCore to Claude and ChatGPT through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). DataCore's MCP server lets compatible AI assistants access supported DataCore capabilities directly through an MCP connection.
Connect your existing DataCore account to a supported platform, authorize the connection, and use DataCore within AI conversations — without building a separate integration.
Connect DataCore in four steps
Add the DataCore MCP Server URL → Authenticate with DataCore → Authorize the connection → Start using DataCore.
DataCore MCP Server URL
Use the production MCP server endpoint when connecting DataCore to a supported MCP client:
https://backend.ecoreservice.com/api/v1/mcp
The DataCore MCP server uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE for authentication.
Choose your platform
Follow the platform-specific setup guide:
- Connect to Claude — add DataCore as a custom connector in Claude.
- Connect to ChatGPT — create a custom MCP app in ChatGPT (Developer Mode).
Authenticate with your DataCore account
DataCore MCP uses your existing DataCore account to authorize access — you do not need a separate MCP account.
- Add the DataCore MCP Server URL —
https://backend.ecoreservice.com/api/v1/mcp - Start the connection — your MCP client initiates the authentication process.
- Sign in to DataCore — use your existing DataCore credentials.
- Authorize the connection — review and approve the requested access.
- Return to your MCP client — once authorization completes, the connection is established and DataCore tools can be used.
Using DataCore through MCP
Once connected, your MCP client can access supported DataCore tools directly within your AI conversations or workflows:
| Capability | What it does |
|---|---|
| Company Search | Find companies using supported company and firmographic criteria. |
| Contact Search | Find contacts based on supported professional and company criteria. |
| Contact Enrichment | Enrich existing contact records with available business information. |
| Profile Enrichment | Retrieve available professional information for a person or profile. |
| Email Enrichment | Retrieve available business email information for a contact. |
| Phone Enrichment | Retrieve available business phone information. |
| Email Validation | Validate business email addresses before downstream use. |
| Contact Unlocking | Reveal available contact information through supported DataCore tools. |
The exact tools available may depend on the current DataCore MCP implementation and your account access. For the tool names, arguments, and credit costs, see Tools & Protocol.
Think of the MCP server as the connection layer: your AI assistant or workflow platform sends a request, DataCore executes the relevant operation, and the result is returned to the MCP client.
Example DataCore MCP workflows
Describe the outcome you need in natural language, and the client selects the right DataCore tools.
Find contacts
Find VP-level Marketing contacts at SaaS companies in the United States with 100–500 employees.
Potential workflow: Company Search → Contact Search → Contact Enrichment
Research target accounts
Find technology companies headquartered in California with between 500 and 1,000 employees, then return their company names, websites, industries, and employee counts.
Potential workflow: Company Search → Company Enrichment
Enrich an existing contact
Enrich this contact with their current job title, company, business email, and phone number.
Potential workflow: Profile Enrichment → Email Enrichment → Phone Enrichment
Validate contact data
Validate business email addresses and identify which ones are valid.
Potential workflow: Email Validation
Build an activation-ready contact list
Find contacts matching these ICP criteria and return the available company, role, email, and phone information.
Potential workflow: Contact Search → Enrichment → Validation
The more specific your request, the easier it is for the MCP client to determine which DataCore capabilities to use. Include relevant criteria such as company, role, seniority, geography, industry, or other attributes when applicable.
Troubleshooting
I can't authenticate with DataCore
Check that:
- You are using the correct DataCore account.
- The DataCore authentication window completed successfully.
- You approved the connection when prompted.
- Your MCP client has permission to access the remote MCP server.
If the authentication window closes without completing the connection, start the connection again.
The DataCore tools aren't appearing
First confirm the MCP connection completed successfully. Then check whether:
- The connector or app is enabled.
- The MCP client completed its tool discovery / scan.
- Your account has access to the relevant DataCore functionality.
- You are using the production MCP endpoint:
https://backend.ecoreservice.com/api/v1/mcp
My MCP connection was working but stopped
Reconnect the DataCore MCP server and complete the authentication flow again. For OAuth-based MCP connections, authentication sessions and permissions can expire or require reauthorization depending on the client and configuration.
I'm getting an authorization error
Verify that:
- You are logged into the correct DataCore account.
- You have authorized the MCP connection.
- Your MCP client is configured to use the DataCore production endpoint.
- The MCP client supports the authentication flow required by DataCore.
If the issue persists, contact eCore support and include the MCP client you're using and the exact error message.
Frequently asked questions
Which platforms can I connect to DataCore MCP?
DataCore MCP can be connected to compatible MCP clients. This documentation currently provides connection guidance for Claude and ChatGPT.
What URL do I use to connect DataCore MCP?
The production MCP Server URL: https://backend.ecoreservice.com/api/v1/mcp
Do I need a DataCore account to use the MCP server?
Yes. You need an active DataCore account so you can authenticate and authorize the MCP connection.
How does DataCore MCP authentication work?
DataCore MCP uses OAuth 2.0 with PKCE. When you connect from a supported MCP client, you're redirected to DataCore to sign in and authorize the connection.
Can I use DataCore MCP with Claude?
Yes. Claude supports remote MCP servers through custom connectors. Add the DataCore MCP server from Claude's connector settings and authenticate with your DataCore account.
Can I use DataCore MCP with ChatGPT?
Yes, subject to the MCP functionality and permissions available to your ChatGPT plan or workspace. ChatGPT's current custom MCP app workflow uses Developer Mode and requires the appropriate workspace permissions.
Which DataCore tools are available through MCP?
The available tools depend on the current DataCore MCP implementation and your account access. See Tools & Protocol for the current tool list.
Do I need a separate MCP account?
No. DataCore MCP uses your existing DataCore account for authentication and authorization.
Why aren't my DataCore MCP tools appearing?
Check that authentication was completed, the connector or app is enabled, and the MCP client successfully discovered the server's tools. If the problem continues, verify the MCP endpoint and your DataCore account access.
